Spinners Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid have taken two more wickets for England while Wesley Barresi and captain Scott Edwards remain on the crease in an effort to reach Netherlands’ target.

Reviewers disapproved of Jos Buttler’s catch, to the applause of his fans and with Aryan Dutt and Logan van Beek walking over to join in his celebrations. In this article, we will discuss about England Cricket Team Vs Netherlands National Cricket Team Match Scorecard.

England: 339 for 9 in 50 overs (Ben Stokes 108; Bas de Leede 3/74, Aryan Dutt 2/67)

England were at risk of another collapse against Netherlands but Ben Stokes’ maiden World Cup hundred was enough to lift them to 339-9 and lift England off their bottom-of-table opponents at MCA Stadium. Stokes struck 108 off 84 balls as part of Dawid Malan (87) and Chris Woakes (51).

Early on, England’s batsmen appeared disorganized as their score dropped from 193-3 to 193-6 as Dutch bowlers took control. But Stokes struck back by striking Paul van Meekeren for four and set up a seventh-wicket partnership of 129 that ultimately helped bring home victory for England.

Stokes then proceeded to hit five more sixes off Logan van Beek to give England a total of 339-9. Additionally, he played another ball into the leg side for a boundary.

As for the Netherlands’ response, they took it easy at first. But Teja Nidamanuru unleashed three sixes during his unbeaten 41-ball innings to help the Dutch recover from an uncertain start; Darren Bravo also contributed with 43 balls 50.

However, their innings was hindered by some poor fielding and miscommunication between Dutch batsmen. A run out chance for Wesley Barresi was overturned after Joe Root thought he had caught him but the third umpire didn’t think it was clear enough.

Holland skipper Scott Edwards expressed disappointment with their performance, and noted that they hadn’t reached their potential. To use resources more effectively while developing accuracy. Bowlers Bas de Leede, Aryan Dutt and Logan van Beek must all improve.

Netherlands: 340 for 9 in 50 overs (Wesley Barresi 63; Chris Woakes 3/63)

England breezed past their tricky target with ease thanks to Ben Stokes and Chris Woakes, setting up a comfortable win against Netherlands who had lost five consecutive matches prior to this one. England’s performance was much more disciplined than many had predicted considering recent displays by both Ben Stokes and Chris Woakes as batters, as well as some poor bowling from many.

Defending champions Somerset are at the bottom of their table after two rounds, needing a major win to keep their Champions Trophy hopes alive – and did just that as Stokes and Woakes put together an outstanding stand of 129 runs between them to ease them to success.

Netherlands opener Wesley Barresi was the first to break free as he hit two consecutive sixes off spinner Moeen Ali to move onto 37 not out. Unfortunately for Moeen, however, an umpire called no when Wesley tried to return for another single and was denied run-out due to an NO call by umpire.

England lost both Jos Buttler and Moeen Ali early, yet captain Stokes was an anchor at the other end. He reached his maiden ODI century off just 96 balls with support from Woakes reaching his fifty off 53 deliveries.

As wickets fell steadily, Stokes and Woakes looked set to create an innings that would guide their hosts home. Woakes secured Aryan Dutt’s scalp early when he sent an off-cut into the stands off half-volley off Woakes; shortly thereafter Logan van Beek was caught at non-striker’s end off a googly from Stokes that mistimed.

But the Dutch were unable to capitalize on a number of opportunities to make up ground in their innings and were all out with 13 overs remaining, Wesley Barresi and Sybrand Engelbrecht struggling for runs. Aryan Dutt and Logan van Beek both offered too many half-volleys, enabling the batsmen to take full advantage of favourable conditions – with Van Meekeren falling for an easy catch off Woakes at mid-on. England completed their innings quickly with Adil Rashid’s quick over, keeping scoring to a minimum to secure an easy victory. Dutch will face Bangladesh in their final Group B match in Bangalore, needing to win in order to maintain any chance of reaching the quarter-finals. A win will do that, although improvement in batting would help immensely in progressing further in this tournament.

England: 340 for 9 in 50 overs (Ben Stokes 108; Bas de Leede 3/74)

Jos Buttler’s side won a hard-fought 160-run win against Netherlands to restore some pride after their opening loss, keeping their hopes of qualifying for the 2025 Champions Trophy alive.

The Dutch struggled throughout this stifling pitch and England’s bowlers Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid performed superbly – taking three wickets each for England. Unfortunately for their batsmen however, England fielding performance included four dropped catches and an overthrow that hindered progress further.

Targeting 340 was always going to be an immense task for non-Test nation Netherlands, which made their task all the harder. While Wesley Barresi and Scott Edwards have put on a decent partnership, both have come up against some exceptional bowling from Chris Woakes as well as Ben Stokes’ pace bowling.

Stokes has looked dangerous throughout, slamming two full tosses for sixes before hitting another over long-on. Now he has set his sights on hitting 100 when he faces Aryan Dutt on Saturday, potentially giving England their unbeaten century!

NED vs ENG – Both teams have put on an outstanding partnership of 75 runs and set themselves up perfectly for England to score over 300 runs in this innings.

IN! Stokes unleashes his fury upon Aryan Dutt in the 45th over, hitting three sixes and two fours before being caught at long-on while trying to hit out.

The Dutch are struggling at present but still have a chance at reaching the semifinals of the World Cup. Their batting unit must work to avoid further collapses as they attempt to chase an enormous total.

Dutch batsmen appear anxious as they try to establish an innings against England. Wesley Barresi received an “NO call” from Sybrand Engelbrecht while trying to return back to the non-striker’s end but was prevented by Chris Woakes from doing so.
