RB Bijan Robinson

The Falcons recently exercised Robinson’s fifth-year team option and extended his contract through 2027. Since being selected in the first round as a first-round draft pick in 2013, Robinson has proven himself one of the league’s premier running backs, amassing over 1,400 yards each season while adding an outstanding receiving line (79-829-4 on 104 targets this season).

Atlanta sees Robinson as an enormous offensive threat who will likely receive an attractive long-term deal should his stellar play continue.

Robinson played a vital role in Atlanta’s dominant second half performance, compiling a career-best 168 yards from scrimmage (76 rushing, 92 receiving). His 81-yard run was his longest ever and fifth longest ever in NFL this year – which also helped boost his rushing average to 9.0 yards per carry for this particular game.

He became the first Falcons player since Jamal Anderson in 1998 to rush for more than 2,000 yards and receive over 1,000 yards within one season, and only second fastest to do it after William Andrews.

Additionally, he passed both career scrimmage yards accumulated and 400 receptions within club history at once, and tied Pro Football Hall-of-Famer LaDainian Tomlinson and Edgerrin James for most games with over 100 scrimmage yards through three seasons of his career.

Robinson recorded his second consecutive 100-yard game – a career first. Additionally, he has now eclipsed 100 scrimmage yards against divisional opponents for nine consecutive games, setting an NFL franchise record. Additionally, in that same game, he made four receptions for 42 yards, giving him nine games this season with at least 50 receiving yards.

Jonathan Robinson should be considered a must-start at running back for fantasy owners in this week’s matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, especially given their injury concerns with Michael Penix (ankle) and Tua Tagovailoa (shoulder).

Robinson has proven himself as an outstanding source of both rushing and receiving production, making him an exceptional matchup-week starting option across formats – in fact he stands as the sole running back with at least 10 rushing touchdowns and five receiving touchdowns this year!

TE Kyle Pitts Sr.

However, the Falcons offense managed to put together an impressive performance against the Cardinals and score enough points for victory. Two key contributors included tight end Kyle Pitts and wide receiver Mohamed Sanu – each recording multiple receptions and touchdowns against an opponent that managed only 27 yards on four receptions from Trey McBride of their opponents.

On a third-and-6 play, Atlanta’s defense forced Arizona into its first three-and-out of the game. On their next play, Kirk Cousins connected with Pitts on a drag route for an 8-yard touchdown – giving Atlanta their first lead ever and making this scoring drive their longest drive of the second half.

Pitts has an indefatigable passion for what he does for the team and always celebrates after making big plays by throwing his helmet into the crowd and running off-field jubilantly in celebration. This action shows that his passion and appreciation are evident to those around him.

Pitts set an NFL record last week by catching five touchdown passes and becoming the first tight end ever to record seven catches and 150+ receiving yards in a game, plus nine receptions for an Atlanta tight end since Harold Fannin Jr. made this feat possible back in 2024.

Kevin Stefanski emphasized the significance of tight end positions to his offensive philosophy during his initial press conference in January, without specifically naming Pitts by name; it appears discussions regarding Pitts have already taken place, however.

CB C.J. Henderson

Even after being eliminated from playoff contention, the Falcons still hope to end their season on a strong note. One way of doing that was winning games they shouldn’t, as was evidenced on Sunday against Arizona Cardinals.

Henderson played an instrumental role in this win with his game-clinching interception late in the fourth quarter, when he blocked off a pass intended for Cardinals wide receiver Rondale Moore and returned it for 20 yards back for a score. This decisive play secured victory.

Henderson played an instrumental role in helping hold the Cardinals to just three points in the first half. In particular, Henderson stripped Chris Olave from behind for an attempted third-down conversion on New Orleans Saints final play of opening period; as part of a group denying Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette a big fourth down play during third quarter playoffs.
