Turkey are not known as one of the powerhouses of European football, yet have proven their credentials at this tournament. Led by former Inter Milan manager Vincenzo Montella and boasting players like Arda Guler, Orkun Kokcu, Ferdi Kadioglu, Baris Alper Yilmaz and Kenan Yildiz as top stars, Turkey have shown they can be considered credible competitors in European competition.

Austria started their tournament off poorly by losing to Poland but rebounded to win six out of nine matches and finish second in their group and qualify for the quarter-finals. Real Madrid youth prospect Arda Guler made headlines when scoring an amazing goal against Georgia; hopefully he will repeat that performance here as he will be supported by experienced Duisenberg and Baris as Austria are further strengthened by Abdulkerim Bardakci returning as their centreback.
