In this article, we will discuss about England Cricket Score Today BBC.

New Zealand vs. England

England’s white-ball team kicked off their World Cup campaign with an emphatic win against West Indies on Friday, thanks to Jonny Bairstow’s brilliant innings and Jofra Archer, Lydia Greenway, and Alice Capsey all contributing wickets. Now in great form going into tournament play – Jos Buttler back on form, Phil Salt showing great promise; England should prove an overwhelming force throughout Caribbean tournament.

New Zealand battled through an interrupted start and managed to post 211-8 with Amelia Kerr and Sophie Devine providing middle order support, yet were skittled for two wickets in the final over to end on 216-9. England made starts of their own with Tammy Beaumont caught lbw for a duck, Heather Knight caught and bowled for nine and Maia Bouchier dismissed for 19.

Charlie Dean promptly took four wickets in her initial nine overs, taking Jess Kerr for 57 to break up a fourth-wicket stand of 87 with Amelia Kerr and then having Brooke Halliday and Izzy Gaze caught at mid-on to put the hosts out of sight for victory.

Jofra Archer gave New Zealand some hope with her wicket, when she was leg before wicket playing across the stumps to a ball which struck her on the back pad – umpire reviews immediately, upholding decision.

Nat Sciver-Brunt then shared an outstanding unbeaten 76 with Amy Jones to bring England closer, before Alice Capsey completed their five-wicket victory with 20 balls still left.

That victory marked England’s third win of this series and moved them into first place in Pool A with a perfect record. They still face New Zealand twice more before five T20Is begin, which will help build momentum leading up to October’s World Cup in London. They should take plenty of confidence from this win – they were impressive in all aspects with Jofra Archer, Mark Wood and Lydia Greenway all looking dangerous with bat and ball.

West Indies vs. England

England made an impressive start to their Super 8s campaign with an eight-wicket win against co-hosts West Indies at St Lucia on Wednesday, dominating them from start to finish and looking far more complete than they had during group stages play. Jos Buttler made several noteworthy runs from midwicket while Jofra Archer showed why he is one of England’s premier bowlers.

Will Jacks and Phil Salt put England in good position early, as both struck 50 partnerships during the powerplay to give England an excellent starting position. Unfortunately for them though, West Indies bowlers managed to limit England’s attacking threat and their top four wickets were quickly taken care of; Jacks, Curran and Hetmyer being caught behind before Hetmyer was finally dismissed lbw.

But England did not panic. Jos Buttler found himself in an advantageous position, assisted by Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow running between the wickets well. Thanks to Joe’s brilliant slog-sweep off Yannic Cariah from Jos Buttler, England were able to score 14 runs from an over.

Once England batsmen found their stride, the game quickly changed. Jos Buttler hit six sixes and four fours on his way to scoring an unbeaten 97 from just 76 balls; Moeen Ali also contributed with an unbeaten 64 that saw Jofra Archer take three wickets with his leg spin.

West Indies bowlers found themselves struggling to bat against England, though an innings between Shai Hope and Sherfane Rutherford gave some hope of recovery. England were however successful at picking off lower order players like Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley to Jos Buttler.

This year marks a change, with the return of nightly highlights shows on free-to-air television. Starting Monday 7pm on BBC Two and available online and through iPlayer, former England cricket captain Isa Guha will host this hour long program, with Alastair Cook and Carlos Brathwaite providing expert analysis as Alastair Guha presents reports from grounds, interviews with England players and looks back at each day’s play. No doubt this move will draw more viewers while increasing participation levels; ultimately helping achieve the ECB goal of making cricket the nation’s favourite sport!

India vs. England

Jos Buttler and Matthew Mott’s England side can make amends for their shock exit from the 50-over World Cup with an emphatic victory against India in this semi-final at New York. A win would not only reassure doubters about its white ball side’s quality but would give momentum going into their three-match series against West Indies that starts next week at Lord’s.

England are in fine fettle at present, with captain Jos Buttler in exceptional form as top-order batsmen Phil Salt and Jonny Bairstow looking strong. It will also serve as an invaluable test for India’s bowlers who may struggle against England’s power and pace.

Jess Kerr becomes the first wicket of the match when she smashes one straight to Nat Sciver-Brunt at long on. That marks Jess’ fifth dropped ball this tournament; thus far she remains unbowled.

But England have an elite batter in Harry Brook, and his impressive four-run strike over the keeper brings England within 10 runs of their target. However, they must play more sensibly and try hitting bad balls for fours rather than trying to smash everything over the boundary.

Jofra Archer attempts to sweep Jasprit Bumrah but ends up getting hit on his arm for 13 runs – England are out, yet this will only strengthen their resolve before their series against West Indies begins.

England have suffered defeat in all three formats in recent months – two T20 matches and an ODI series against Australia have all come and gone without any major success for them, but their batting is back to form and they head into July’s three-match series full of confidence. Jofra Archer is back, Mark Wood is fit, and Jonny Bairstow has been performing superbly – all boxes have been ticked for them to take them forward in their development process.

Pakistan vs. England

England completed their three-match T20 series win against Pakistan with an emphatic performance in St Lucia, including a convincing win after turning around after an initially slow start thanks to Jos Buttler and Jonny Bairstow, reaching 217-6 from 20 overs before their bowlers took control by bundling out Pakistan for only 157 runs inside 19.5 overs – particularly with Adil Rashid, Moeen Ali, Liam Livingstone and Jofra Archer playing key roles by regularly taking wickets which helped contain Pakistan batsmen against their opponents’ batsmen and help put pressure on their batsmen against one another!

Pakistan struggled to compete against England’s bowling attack as they lost four wickets within five overs to slip to 86-5 at the end of power play. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan got off to an ideal start but Archer dismissed both quickly enough, prompting an innings collapse. Usman Khan offered some resistance with 38 runs off 21 balls but overall their entire batting order succumbed to England’s pace and spin threats.

Jos Buttler struck a six and four off the first two balls of the final over to set up an easy victory, assisted by Phil Salt’s remarkable century – unbeaten at 102no from 77 deliveries with 13 fours!

Pakistan was always going to face an uphill task chasing 213 for victory and they soon found themselves falling further behind when Jos Buttler began using ramp, shimmy and slide to score four from an over, followed by his straight drive past square leg for four more. Axar Patel tried his hardest but Buttler responded by clearing the ropes for six. When his six was completed he completed it off by another ramp over midwicket for another maximum! A fantastic win for England that marked their Super 8s campaign in style; Jos Buttler, Phil Salt and Jonny Bairstow all played magnificently – it truly represented team effort from England!
