1. Australia vs India – 1st T20I
Australia and India have started the inaugural T20 International match at Manuka Oval in Canberra. Rain caused some delays but has only strengthened the hosts.
The visitors have not been able to breach 90 runs yet, but have made a strong start. Abhishek Sharma attacked Josh Hazlewood from the outset and it paid dividends as his team got off to a fast start. Shubman Gill will look to add runs following an underwhelming ODI series performance while Ravindra Jadeja will try and continue his recent good form.
Ravindra Jadeja hit three fours and one six in an unbeaten 45 off 23 balls while KL Rahul scored 41 not out, but the pair could not push India past 160 and were both dismissed within one over by Moises Henriques in quick succession in the penultimate over.
Australia have enjoyed considerable success at World Cup tournaments in recent times; however, they have yet to triumph against India in T20 internationals. Now is an ideal opportunity for them to change that record and prepare for the 2026 T20 World Cup tournament.

With fast outfield and outfield surfaces at this venue, this game should produce high scoring action. 2. Australia vs India – 2nd T20I
India will need to win the second T20I to even up the series and level the match at 1-1. Both teams will compete at the MCG on October 31.
