First Innings

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have finally found their feet after an inauspicious start, winning consecutive matches to regain momentum and win both home and away games against Gujarat Titans at M Chinnaswamy stadium.

Virat Kohli has shown his prowess on both bat and ball while their bowling unit also performed admirably – hoping that these impressive results continue in their next home match against them on August 8.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar makes an important breakthrough for GT, dismissing Shubman Gill with an offswinging delivery that was full outside off, with some outswing. Gill attempted to play it with pace but instead got an inside edge that Jos Buttler caught at slip. GT now take the lead in their chase of 170 runs.

Liam Livingstone and Jitesh Sharma continue to build on their partnership, hitting boundaries off Rashid Khan for just three runs in his previous over.

After losing Phil Salt and Rajat Patidar, Royal Challengers Bangalore have started to regain some momentum as Livingstone builds a solid partnership. In Ishant Sharma’s previous over, they scored 14 runs with one from Livingstone scoring four boundaries.

Second Innings

RCB found their home ground batting difficult as key batsmen such as Phil Salt, Kohli and Padikkal failed to score big runs.

After 15 overs they had slipped to 42/4 with only Livingstone and Jitesh Sharma playing well enough for them to score 169 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets in their innings. GT’s batsmen took some time getting used to the pitch; Sai Sudarshan and Jos Buttler kept up asking rate while Siraj took three wickets and was supported by Samit for economical bowling spells both innings while GT won their match and took the lead in table standings.

Third Innings

Jos Buttler continues his relentless run chase at M Chinnaswamy Stadium with two sixes off Rasikh Salam Dar, as he and Sai Sudharsan maintain control in the run chase. Jos has hit three maximums off Salam this innings – sending shockwaves through the crowd at M Chinnaswamy.

RCB are currently chasing 196 runs to win this match and have lost four wickets over the last 10 overs, thus they must improve their batting performance to close in on CSK quickly and reduce the gap between their scores.

Phil Salt and Rajat Patidar have taken on a pivotal role to bring RCB to a respectable total after losing wickets earlier. Together they have produced a steady partnership by scoring 12 runs off Arshad Khan’s previous over.

GT’s bowlers have done an outstanding job of reading the conditions at Chinnaswamy Stadium, using slower balls to encourage batsmen to play safely – this tactic will allow them to gain momentum late in the match.

Mohammed Siraj strikes again and removes Phil Salt from the crease with a short and outside off delivery that hit Phil’s bat edge and fell safely into Rahul Tewatia’s hands for an easy catch – and Royal Challengers Bangalore lose their fourth wicket.

RCB batsmen have gradually eased back into the game as they begin scoring quick runs. Liam Livingstone is playing an instrumental role here by hitting boundaries at an impressive rate and quickly amassing runs; he has scored 10 runs in three overs! Tim David is also performing exceptionally well and should continue this trend of excellent play from both batsmen.

Final Innings

Mohammed Siraj gives Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) their first breakthrough of the match as he removes Rajat Patidar for 12.

Siraj bowls short and outside off, Patidar attempts a pull but misses and top-edges it, sending the ball racing away for six. An electric atmosphere reigns supreme at M Chinnaswamy Stadium as fans celebrate in joy.

Jos Buttler and Sai Sudharsan have slowly formed an effective partnership for GT, playing safe cricket while avoiding unnecessary risks. In Josh Hazlewood’s previous over, both hit boundaries while he leaked 11 runs – an encouraging sign.

Jitesh Sharma finally began hitting boundaries for RCB during Ishant Sharma’s previous over, hitting two more boundaries and one massive maximum to push their scoreboard total up to 38/3 after 10 overs.

RCB have launched an ambitious comeback in this game and require to score numerous runs within the remaining overs to regain momentum.

Shubman Gill unleashes a brilliant four off Bhuvneshwar Kumar. When bowled full and outside off with some outswing, Gill moves across to his front foot without looking to keep it down; lifting it over deep square leg for an effortless boundary.

Jos Buttler continues his impressive form for Gujarat Titans. Already hitting three sixes and looking on course to reach 50 runs, Buttler continues to hit sixes during each over of Ishant Sharma, with Sherfane Rutherford hitting another boundary during this over.

Meanwhile RCB are struggling in this chase but can count on their bowlers being impressive thus far in restricting both Kolkata and Chennai teams; these experienced bowlers will look to continue this good form over the remaining overs.
