Scorecard of Netherlands National Cricket Team Vs South Africa National Cricket Team Match

The Netherlands vs South Africa contest had all of the ingredients of an unforgettable classic: high scoring contest between two sides featuring big hitters and explosive bowlers who could take it all the way until its conclusion – however it was ultimately the Dutch who came out victorious: this marked their first ever triumph over an opposing Test playing nation at T20 World Cup level, an extraordinary achievement considering they only played their inaugural Test match only 1904.

As expected, the Proteas began their innings with an early collapse, losing three wickets for just six runs. David Miller wasn’t about to let that happen though; instead leading from the front with Tristan Stubbs they put on an important 65-run partnership which saved their side and set up a winning chase chase.

Ottniel Baartman had earlier struck to bring down their hosts to 12 for 4. But Dutch could not escape from Proteas’ tight grip; Quinton de Kock’s mistimed run out stymied their efforts and required them to score at an average rate of over eight runs an over in their final five overs for any chance of victory.

Sybrand Engelbrecht then made an explosive start, reaching his half century in 19 overs but unfortunately not making 100 due to Miller’s superb drop at fine leg off Anrich Nortje.

As just over one minute remained, the Netherlands were on the cusp of pulling off an historic upset. But then Rabada trapped Bas de Leede in front and the DRS decided against him; soon afterward he ballooned a back of a length delivery from Nortje to Miller at point for six.

The Netherlands have been one of the biggest surprises at this tournament so far and posed an incredible threat to top-ranked South Africa, but ultimately South Africa held on for another victory – and will face a dangerous England team in their final group stage matchup. Netherlands vs South Africa

At Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in Nassau County, New York, South Africa were taken by surprise when the Netherlands launched a stunning attack at them at one point, leading them back from the brink. But David Miller’s heroic innings helped secure victory for South Africa.

Dutch batsmen found it hard to gain any momentum while batting first, losing wickets regularly and finding themselves at 32/4 at one stage before Scott Edwards and Roelof van der Merwe formed an unlikely partnership that propelled their score forward.

However, South African pace bowlers made it difficult for the Dutch batsmen to hit big shots. Ottniel Baartman and Anrich Nortje ensured there were no freebies available to their batsmen and left them struggling against South Africa pace bowlers.

The final few overs were tense for both teams but especially Dutch batsmen who attempted a late surge. Under immense pressure to score runs for victory, but not to their avail.

South Africa needed 16 from 12 balls at that stage and needed big shots from Dutch. But Miller was composed under pressure, hitting three sixes to secure South Africa victory and keep their chances alive.

Netherlands have never defeated a full member side in an ODI before and this win gives them their first taste of success in this tournament. Their performance shows they won’t succumb under pressure.

Aiden Markram of South Africa describes their match against Netherlands as nerve-wracking and says they showed great resiliency by coming back from four down. Markram thinks his bowlers did outstandingly and believes this performance by them was truly outstanding.

He then went on to state that they need to improve on the batting department a bit more, which they have been actively working towards doing. Furthermore, he stated that they were an outstanding side and only got better with more games; thus it’s essential they keep winning matches.

Netherlands are in an ideal position to qualify for the next round, having one game remaining against Sri Lanka and with two of each group already advanced to semi-finals. Australian cricket will look to avenge their loss against them in the final group stage match which takes place Wednesday.
