England bowlers are on a hunt for Bangladesh wickets. Reece Topley has secured two vital scalps so far while Tanzid Hasan and Litton Das are at bat attempting to steady the innings.

Mushfiqur Rahim strikes Curran’s full toss over leg side for four runs but his teammates remain composed as required run rate increases and it’s time for spin bowling. In this article, we will discuss about England Cricket Team Vs Bangladesh National Cricket Team Match Scorecard.

England: Jonny Bairstow

Jonny Bairstow of Yorkshire Cricket Club and an impressive record in all formats is making an outstanding start to his innings. The right-handed batsman wants to prove all those who have criticised his batsmanship wrong in the past.

He launched a cover drive straight into the boundary for four, before using his legs to swish a ball into leg gully for another single run and work covers for more runs before reaching his 50 off 78 balls with an impressive hook through midwicket.

Sam Curran takes over and Bangladesh are struggling to maintain the required run rate. They now trail by 278 runs and Litton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim attempt to rebuild their innings against him; taking several singles off his first over before hitting for six off one of his fuller deliveries which Mushfiqur attempts but misses.

Dawid Malan

Malan has hit two fours during his innings and looks well set. With Bairstow already showing good form, Malan and Bairstow must continue the momentum that they’ve set off with.

Malan unleashes his aggression with Mehidy Hasan’s full ball and hits it back down the ground for FOUR! Soon thereafter he makes another stunning stroke over long-on for SIX; clearly looking set to make big scores here.

Malan, born in Roehampton and hailing from Middlesex since 2003, has only recently made his mark internationally and he’s making the most of this opportunity. A consistent performer for Middlesex for over a decade he now deserves national honours for his consistent batting – unfurling numerous scoops and ramps and five short of reaching 100 runs, taking England towards an enormous total with his spectacular batwork.

Joe Root

Joe Root is one of England’s premier batsmen and was an integral member of their side that defeated Sri Lanka by reaching their massive target in the final game of their series, playing some impressive batting throughout. His clever batplay made an impressionful case.

He also scored a fine hundred against Bangladesh in his second warm-up match, showing all of the ingredients to become an excellent one-day international cricketer, capable of scoring big runs regardless of surface or situation.

He also demonstrated his adept fielding ability against New Zealand in their first match when he prevented Jos Buttler from being run-out. Overall, England are in very capable hands with him leading their squad.

Harry Brook

Harry Brook is an exciting young talent who has excelled for Yorkshire this season. The right-handed Yorkshire right-hander can cause problems with his raw power and natural flair; his 185-ball innings against Pakistan was an outstanding display of his skills; this impressive display marked an amazing turnaround after having struggled during England’s dismal tour of India in 2022.

National Anthems Have Been Played And Now We Can Start Play! England wicketkeeper Jonny Bairstow will lead off for England while Mustafizur Rahman provides left-arm seam bowling action.

Bangladesh opener Litton Das hits Chris Woakes delivery on the up for a boundary, scoring 15 runs off it. This over was much better than its predecessor; however, Woakes still needs to work on his line and length to keep Bangladesh within their targets.

Moeen Ali

Moeen Ali appears to be slowly finding his form after missing some time from England cricket, with two sixes already in this over and a boundary off Taskin Ahmed’s bowling.

Bangladesh opener Liton Das appeared unfazed at one end, until Chris Woakes caught him behind for an unbeaten 50 from 37 balls. Topley replaced struggling Ali and immediately made an impactful statement with one over of his second over, drawing an edge from Najmul Hossain Shanto to remove him for an embarrassing duck.

Bangladesh took control of the over before drinks break by striking three consecutive fours off Sam Curran before Towhid Hridoy survived an LBW decision against Mark Wood; however, Bangladesh now face an exceeding 10 RPO required run rate and they could be in trouble.

Liam Livingstone

Livingstone first made headlines for club side Nantwich after hitting 350 in 138 balls for them in April 2015; his big hitting overshadowed his T20I debut later that season when Lancashire Lightening triumphantly claimed their NatWest Blast championship with him at their side.

Last year’s World Cup saw Livingstone make an integral contribution for England, featuring in multiple matches as both finisher and middle order player, his power hitting and lusty hitting being evident from day one of his England career. Livingstone hails from Barrow C.C, was regularly in Lancashire’s second team, served as T20 captain of his county team, took an excellent catch off Rabada during Super Eight match 1 – an outstanding talent indeed and very promising cricketer!

Sam Curran

Sam Curran took four early wickets to subdue Bangladesh’s hopes of an impressive comeback, before smashing two sixes to put England firmly in control before rain halted play.

Litton Das and Tanzid Hasan get Bangladesh off to an impressive start when their chase for 35-3 begins, but Chris Woakes soon reduces it to 14-2 as soon as his short third ball draws an edge from Tanzid Hasan which Jos Buttler easily caught. The innings came to a close at 35-3 for Bangladesh.

Joseph continues to challenge England with a full and seething ball, giving them difficulty both with bat and gloves. Jacks eventually makes some headway against Joseph by smashing a drive over long-on for four and hitting an innocuous tickle off the pads that is swat disdainfully for another boundary; adding another four off Joseph’s last over before it is called off due to an umpire’s call time, in what has been an exceptional spell by this youngster.

Adil Rashid

England spinner Adil Rashid is dishing out some tight overs for Bangladesh, forcing them to up their net run rate as quickly as possible in order to remain competitive. They have only managed to score limited runs over this period.

Taskin was not known to be one of the more fluent batsmen and made an eye-catching slog sweep over square leg for four. Unfortunately two balls later, Mark Wood struck with an explosive delivery which saw Taskin bowled.

Buttler takes an easy catch at point as the ball nips the outside edge of Liton Das’ bat and Buttler takes his first catch at point, only for tall paceman Jimmy Adams to strike again by dismissing Liton Das and Najmul Hossain Shanto consecutively in consecutive deliveries from him before finishing it off by dismissing Mushfiqur Rahim too, to leave Bangladesh reeling in disarray. Reece Topley contributed three wickets as well – two within two balls!

Mark Wood

After taking a drinks break, Wood returned with another tight over. Bangladesh are playing singles without improving their net run rate; therefore they must limit any missteps during their pursuit of 310 runs in order to win this match.

Taskin attempts a hard heave but completely misses the ball! His effort to stay in this game may pay dividends; one mistake from England will put them ahead in this contest.

Topley was somewhat lax with his line and length, which allowed several runs to be scored off his bowling. Still searching for his first wicket of the match though, Topley managed to tempt Mahedi into playing an edge that crashed into his stumps for an timely wicket that sent shudders through Bangladesh’s hopes of reaching the final.
