The Seagulls have developed their ability to play out from the back, which has given them many chances to create scoring chances and score on an average every 63 minutes – helping them secure a high place in the league table.
Brighton have had good away results this season as well, recording two wins and two draws out of three matches on their travels – contributing to an overall excellent performance with a positive goal difference of one goal.
Now six minutes into added time, Brighton are pressing hard for a winner but are being held back by their visitors. Early on, the hosts were unlucky not to take an early lead when Kulusevski played in Udogie who powered past two Arsenal defenders before shooting wide. Hurzeler made a change at half time by swapping out Ferdi Kadioglu with Estupinan who provided extra defensive cover as well as attacking runs down the right flank.
Second half action saw both teams struggle for dominance. Joao Pedro and Yankuba Minteh both had opportunities to put the hosts ahead but David Raya was equal to both shots on goal. Saka and Romero came close for an additional goal for the visitors but neither managed it.
Although playing with 10 men for most of the match, Brighton pushed forward in search of an equaliser. Minteh had his header saved by Raya while Henri Lansbury had one attempt blocked by Lewis Dunk.
