Taskin strikes after an anthem break by hitting Livingstone over square leg for two runs; yet he is yet to achieve his first wicket of the tournament.

Litton Das and Mushfiqur have survived with an aggressive chase total. Mark Wood attempts an assault, but the pitch doesn’t respond favorably. In this article, we will discuss about Bangladesh National Cricket Team vs England Cricket Team Match Scorecard.

England: Jonny Bairstow (c & wk)

Jonny Bairstow is a right-handed wicket-keeper batsman for Yorkshire Cricket Club in England. Born in Bradford and originally an all-round athlete as a youth – including trials with Leeds United as a full back – cricket quickly became his focus; soon joining Yorkshire’s second XI and academy sides early on before winning Young Wisden School Cricketer of the Year Award and eventually making first class debut with them in 2008.

Bairstow has played an instrumental role in leading his club to two County Championship championships and four One-Day Cup titles during his time here, in addition to representing England at both Test and ODI level and amassing over 1000 runs – an achievement unrivalled at his club.

After suffering a nine-wicket loss to New Zealand in their tournament opener, Jos Buttler and England made a dramatic turnaround and defeated Bangladesh at Dharamsala. Reece Topley ran amok with his bowling, dismissing three Bangladesh batsmen within powerplay and one later. Dawid Malan scored 140 runs as Bairstow and Root both managed fifty scores; all this helped anchor an impressive 364-9 total scored by England against Bangladesh. They are now looking forward to building on this lead as they look forward towards making semi-finals in Dharamsala; now all that remains is to see how far ahead they can extend this lead in Dharamsala!

Liam Livingstone

Liam Livingstone is an aggressive batsman known for attacking from ball one. Having played franchise cricket across PSL, IPL, BBL and South Africa’s Mzansi Super League franchise competitions; his USP lies in his aggressive batting while also contributing with useful leg/off breaks and being an exceptional fielder.

Bangladesh are currently chasing 364 to win and require Liton Das and Tanzid Hasan to form an effective partnership in order to stay alive in this game. They are currently on strike but Bangladesh must manage their run rate as they attempt to remain competitive in this contest. Sam Curran bowled his third over and Bangladesh managed a single off it.

The match has begun and both national anthems have been played, both teams are on the field, and players appear in good spirits. England are looking forward to renewing their World Cup defence after New Zealand defeated them 9 wickets earlier; an exceptional century by Dawid Malan and Reece Topley’s impressive return have helped post a competitive total in their first innings totals.

Sam Curran

Sam Curran has become one of England’s premier batsmen since making his first-class debut for Surrey in July 2015. The left-armer can swing both ways with the ball while also showing plenty of aggression when batting.

His slight frame and mild features do not give off an aggressive vibe, yet his natural ability to swing the ball at an adequate pace combined with his desire to dominate the crease has allowed him to stand out. Since entering cricket at 22, he has amassed more than 170 runs at an average of more than 27 and strike rate exceeding 62; an outstanding achievement when considering that he’s only 22!

England have made their tournament debut and suffered an early defeat at the hands of New Zealand, so their hopes lie with victory against Bangladesh – an opponent they’ve only faced twice over the last four years – when facing them this time. England were sent packing by Bangladesh during their last meeting; entering this one as underdogs.

Chris Woakes’ seven-run over has left Bangladesh reeling, as they aim to recover their innings. Litton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim remain in bat but must form partnerships quickly if they hope to survive this game.

Adil Rashid

Rashid had an outstanding night, taking three early wickets to dent Bangladesh’s run chase and earn his threerd five-wicket haul in first-class cricket, equalling Stuart Broad’s record of six hauls in first-class play.

Moeen bowls a superb over, conceding only two runs to Bangladesh as they look to rebuild their innings. Topley was below par on tonight; when Moeen replaced him his first ball grazed the bottom of the stumps for four leg byes from Bangladesh.

Towhid Hridoy hits a boundary off Topley in his fifth over, but UltraEdge shows LBW; Towhid reviews this decision but it stands.

Rashid’s final over of the evening has almost been as good as his opening spell – only conceding three runs in it. Bangladesh will bat out now with only 205 to reach to win this match.

Tonight has reignited the Spirit of Cricket debate; but England will be satisfied with their performance and dominance of this match. Roy was exceptional, Curran dramatic, and Rashid an integral figure as they eased past Bangladesh with ease. Mark Wood

After their disappointing defeat against New Zealand, England were hoping to recover with an emphatic performance against Bangladesh at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala. With stunning Himalayan foothills as their backdrop and some concerns regarding its pitch – Jos Buttler had injured his knee diving for a ball at ground in their previous match while Jonathan Trott noted it was difficult for batters to stay on their feet during this one – England ultimately prevailed with victory.

Wood never fit the mould of a modern England fast bowler; he is thin, barely 6ft tall, bowls from an unusual run-up, which resembles that of sprinter rather than seamer, yet still managed to become one of the fastest bowlers ever seen – producing huge volumes of pace with ease while extracting spin from surfaces while producing turn. Nonetheless, his pace made an immediate impact at Lord’s.

He excelled during the opening half of the tournament, taking five wickets against Ireland and South Africa for an exceptional start to his England career. Unfortunately, however, during the final against Australia he suffered a side strain and may only play a few more matches before returning to Test duty with Durham in summer; nevertheless he made a strong beginning to his England journey.

Reece Topley

Reece Topley was England’s outstanding performer during their 137-run win against Bangladesh at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala. The left-armer notched up a career-best 140 and then created havoc with the ball as part of his comeback from back injury.

He will aim to build on that performance in his second ODI World Cup game and give England selectors yet another reason to select him in their white ball sides going forward. Hampshire player has great potential; that he continues his career despite injuries which have plagued him is testament to his mental resilience.

Topley was on the verge of earning his maiden international cap for England during an ODI against Australia at Manchester last year when he suffered a stress fracture to his back and had to pull out. That injury also rendered him unavailable for further participation throughout that tournament and beyond.

Since his return, Curran has made strides toward cementing his place in the 2024 squad, and his performance against Bangladesh will only further strengthen that case. An aggressive batsman and fearless bowler, this 24-year-old is poised to play an instrumental role in national side; likely joined by Sam Curran in bowling attack – starting the third over by clean bowling Shoriful Islam for just eight runs before leaving them at 363-8 at end of over.
