1. Aaron Rodgers
Aaron Rodgers’ ability to make every pass count makes him one of the toughest opponents for opposing defenses to deal with. With quick release and pinpoint accuracy, Rodgers consistently finds open receivers for big plays.
Rodgers was able to keep the ball moving despite some inconsistent play from Green Bay’s offensive unit, and keep scoring points. With four minutes remaining and the game tied, Brissett was stuffed on a fourth-and-1 sneak at his team’s 48 in an attempt to tie it. Matt LaFleur trusted his players enough on fourth down that Tucker Kraft completed a 15-yard completion for an exciting four-point lead for Green Bay.
Micah Parsons proved his worth to the Packers after they traded away so much to acquire him by picking off two Cardinals final drives and providing reliable contributions on offense, especially as part of a complementary run game led by Jaylen Warren (107 average rushing yards over three games) against Arizona. His performance against them served as proof that Micah will remain an effective force this season.
2. Jordy Nelson
Jordy Nelson was one of the premier wide receivers during his time with the Packers. He developed an exceptional relationship with Aaron Rodgers, becoming an exceptional route runner due to his towering size over corners, disciplined route running that left plenty of room for quarterback Aaron Rodgers to fit balls to him, and concentration for making difficult catches.
Nelson was an outstanding second-round draft pick for the Packers in 2008, particularly given a relatively weak wide receiver crop at that time. Nelson played an important role in their receiving corps that also featured Greg Jennings, Donald Driver, James Jones and Randall Cobb.
After an underwhelming start to the season, Nelson has found his groove and become an impact player. His big play on Arizona’s final drive gave the Packers some breathing room during an otherwise tight game.
Micah Parsons continued to demonstrate why the Packers paid such a steep price to secure his services from the Rams, with another three-sack performance and leading the Packer defense in holding on to their lead.
3. Clay Matthews
This game, commonly referred to as “Hail Larry”, became famous due to Fitzgerald’s catch and Rodgers’ Hail Mary pass that ended it, one of the most thrilling matches in NFL history and with both plays being honored as some of its greatest ever acts. Both Fitzgerald’s catch and Rodgers’ Hail Mary pass have gone down as two of history’s great plays in NFL.
In overtime, the Cardinals won the coin toss and started with possession. Carson Palmer avoided getting sacked and threw a shovel pass to Larry Fitzgerald who ran across the field and dove into the end zone for an incredible walk-off touchdown!
Matthews leads Green Bay’s defense and was instrumental in an offensive unit which finished second in points per game this year. After suffering through knee issues last season, he has returned as an effective pass rusher this time around.
During the regular season, these teams met twice and won both meetings – with Arizona taking both of them. Both Arizona and Green Bay made playoff appearances together – Arizona won 2010 NFC Championship Game while Green Bay prevailed over them during an exciting 2015 Divisional Round matchup that went to overtime where both Aaron Rodgers and Larry Fitzgerald made key catches to secure victory for themselves.
4. Jordy Bronson
Green Bay needed something big from Micah Parsons after suffering two heartbreaking road losses to Arizona in consecutive games, and he delivered, notching three-sack performance on Packers play as well as five quarterback hits (tying his career high) and now leading all NFL opponents with 40 pressures per Next Gen Stats.
Former Texans star Javon Hargrave is one of the key reasons the Packers remain undefeated and in first place in the NFC North, despite not playing their best football this season. He was an integral component of their defense which shut down Arizona’s offense to enable the Packers to pull out a victory on an otherwise challenging day for both teams.
Green Bay was resilient after an exhausting and difficult trip and first half. Their secondary was particularly impressive in holding off Ja’Marr Chase and Trey McBride for much of the second half. Even so, much work still needs to be done on them but they did enough to pull through.
5. Kenny Clark
On a day when it appeared all was going wrong for them, Kenny Clark’s play helped ensure victory despite not playing his best game – no big plays got away and some tough hits helped stifle Cardinals offense.
After an uneven defensive start, the Packers took charge in the second half to put this game out of reach. Lucas Havrisik’s franchise-record 61-yard field goal in the second quarter marked a turning point and made another clutch third-down catch that allowed them to gain possession at Arizona 48.
With four minutes left and the score tied, Green Bay could have easily given in under Arizona’s pressure, but instead trusting his playmakers to win it was Matt LaFleur who showed courage by trusting Jordan Love to connect with Tucker Kraft for a 15-yard pass to keep their drive alive before Josh Jacobs ran in for an end zone touchdown score and put Green Bay ahead for good.
LaFleur took a calculated risk by opting to go for it on fourth down and two despite knowing the outcome could be difficult, yet his gamble paid off big time.
6. Davante Adams
Adams looked healthy and in control during this conference championship game, recording four receptions on six targets for 89 yards and one touchdown – his first postseason scoring performance since 2025.
Adams played an instrumental role on Green Bay’s final drive by converting fourth-and-2 with Tucker Kraft for 15 yards to force Arizona punt; this gave Green Bay possession inside its red zone before Josh Jacobs scored Green Bay’s victory a few plays later.
Micah Parsons made his arrival worth every penny the Packers paid with an impressive three-sack performance against Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett. Parsons limited Cardinals receivers’ big play capabilities while disrupting him consistently from every play downfield.

7. Marquez Valdes-Scantling
Valdes-Scantling has shown progress as the Packers’ second wide receiver this season, becoming more productive and reliable when given his chance by catching 14 of 29 targets for 120 yards and scoring once across four games. He also proved dependable as a kick returner with 9 out of 16 returns totalling 249 yards.
Micah Parsons once again demonstrated his worth to the Packers, notching his first three-sack game since joining. He’s been an integral component in helping a defense that has struggled to create pressure against quarterbacks in recent weeks, helping ensure that Arizona was held scoreless during its final minutes of the contest.
With just four minutes remaining and Arizona leading 23-20, Brissett was stopped on a fourth-and-1 sneak attempt, giving Green Bay possession at their own 48. A short pass to tight end Tucker Kraft on fourth down kept Green Bay moving forward until Josh Jacobs eventually scored and gave them a four-point lead.
After suffering such a crushing road loss, it would have been easy for the Packers to collapse under such adversity, yet Matt LaFleur trusted his playmakers to turn things around when time ran out – an insightful move which paid dividends.
