India vs. South Africa

South Africa are looking to rebound after suffering their first T20I series loss against India, missing key players like Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje and Quinton de Kock – making their task all the harder. Heinrich Klaasen has shown promise during recent limited-overs games for South Africa; hopefully he can continue this impressive run against India.

India performed admirably during the opening T20I and successfully restricted Proteas’ batting, yet their poor batting display proved costly as they fell 23 runs short of the target. Bumrah, India’s star bowler, played an integral part by slowing the run-rate while taking one wicket to reduce deficit to six runs.

Smriti Mandhan of India women’s vice-captain Smriti Mandhan has been in terrific form and may present South Africa with some problems in both games. She scored 43 runs off 46 balls during their opening encounter against them and will look to repeat her performance again when facing them in game two.

Smriti will join captain Mithali Raj and openers Gongadi Trisha and Kamalini Gunalan to form an aggressive batting unit. They hope that by adding another dimension, Smriti can add greater depth.

India’s spinners will present South Africa with an interesting challenge in the field, particularly Ayabonga Khaka and Deepti Sharma who have both been performing exceptionally. Khaka in particular can turn around any batsmen with her slow googly deliveries that she can turn.

The match will take place at Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam, India and should offer assistance for bowlers.

India will be determined to win this encounter despite losing the toss, knowing a victory would give Virat Kohli’s side an early edge in this four-match T20I series. Weather forecasts call for no rain in Bangalore; however, weather can change at any moment and could impact play significantly – stay tuned for further updates regarding this matchup!

First T20I

India and South Africa played out an enthralling T20I, with India emerging victorious by six wickets. Sanju Samson scored 107 off 62 balls as India posted 202-8 in 20 overs; Indian spinners Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi played key roles in restricting South Africa’s run chase.

Indian opener Abhishek Sharma was bowled by Gerald Coetzee in the fourth over, missing a straight one and having it caught by Heinrich Klaasen at long-on. South Africa started its chase well though as ODI star Hamish Marshall and captain Ryan Rickelton shared a 68-run partnership.

Following Klaasen’s fall, South Africa immediately lost three more wickets quickly to Indian bowler Varun Chakravarthy who took two successive wickets in both the seventh and eighth over to put India firmly in control, supported by leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi who claimed two wickets within one over for even further advantage for India.

But the hosts were determined not to succumb, mounting a strong comeback effort led by Ryan Rickelton and Heinrich Klaasen who attempted to revive their innings before being sent packing by Indian spinners.

Suryakumar Yadav caught Klaasen off Ravi Bishnoi, while Aiden Markram was similarly removed by Suryakumar Yadav off Ravi Bishnoi – all within 17.5 overs! South African had late collapse, however eventually they were bowled out on 141 with 175 overs remaining on the clock.

Ravi Bishnoi’s double-wicket over broke South African batting and propelled India toward victory. South Africa failed to even score a boundary during the final over, giving India a solid chance at taking an early advantage in the four-match series with their second win on November 15. Both teams displayed brilliant cricketing talent during a highly entertaining contest adorned in classic retro jerseys; both teams entertained crowds with entertaining performances throughout.

Second T20I

The second T20I between India and South Africa was an exciting contest filled with plenty of twists and turns. Varun Chakaravarthy shined with his outstanding spell of 5/17 while Ravi Bishnoi also contributed with three wickets for India to control Proteas batting lineup on slow pitch in Durban.

India were taken by surprise when Jos Buttler and Carse produced an unexpected comeback for England. Jos Buttler hit three sixes and one four during his unbeaten 45-ball innings while Carse scored 31 runs off 17 balls to give England an impressive total of 202/7.

India’s middle order struggled to form partnerships as wickets fell at regular intervals. Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma in particular failed to capitalise on their good form from the first match and will need to improve for Rajkot’s final test game.

South Africa opened their reply well, with Ottneil Baartman hitting a six from the very first ball of their innings. But India’s spinners quickly battled back and gained control. When Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller had just seven runs scored after six overs had passed, Chakaravarthy dismissed both to bring India back into contention.

India challenged Marco Jansen being caught behind off the fifth ball of an over, as it appeared that it brushed his pads instead of hitting his stumps; but umpire didn’t agree and India lost their review bid.

Indian bowlers were in great form once again as they restricted South Africa to only 184/6 from their 20 overs. But South Africa got back into it quickly in the final overs with Tristan Stubbs and Gerald Coetzee striking quickly in partnership, scoring 19 runs off nine balls in nine balls before Coetzee took 16 off Arshdeep Singh for South Africa to secure a narrow win.

Third T20I

India and South Africa will meet again for the final T20I game at SuperSport Park on Wednesday following a thrilling series tie in match two. South Africa will look to avenge their defeat in game one while India look to secure victory and complete this four-match T20I series in style.

Tilak Varma produced an outstanding display to score his maiden international century and lead India to 219/6 in their 20-over innings. The 22-year-old unleashed his formidable attack against South African bowlers with seven sixes and eight fours from just 57 balls while being well supported by Abhishek Sharma’s swift 50 run score.

Indian victory at Gqeberha was followed by another one at South Africa despite flying ant infestation for nearly 30 minutes, to tie up the series 1-1. India will look to build on their victory by finding ways to get back into their batting groove after having fallen apart during Gqeberha while South Africa would appreciate seeing senior pros Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen make more contributions after being relatively quiet in game two.

Mitch Marsh won the toss and decided to field on a pitch that offered plenty of bounce to Australian batsmen. Australia struggled against Tim David’s 52-ball 83; but in their next outing against South Africa Tristan Stubbs’ unbeaten composure during chase proved key in beating out Australia for an excellent total score.

South Africa have been given a boost with captain Faf du Plessis back in their ranks and will feel confident of taking victory in this final contest. But more than just Klaasen and Marco Jansen can guarantee them success; Kwena Maphaka and Corbin Bosch will play an instrumental role in stopping India’s fast bowlers.
