1st Match of Ireland Cricket Team Vs Pakistan

Pakistan national cricket team has arrived in Dublin for a three-match T20 series against Ireland to prepare for the T20 World Cup starting June 1st. Babar Azam, Saim Ayub, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi among many others are travelling over for this challenge, arriving there Wednesday as Pakistan Cricket shared video footage on their Twitter handle of their arrival in Ireland.

Ireland have won all four T20Is they have participated in since 2017, being undefeated during this run of five matches. Their victory against Sri Lanka was particularly noteworthy and they will hope to achieve similar success against a powerful Pakistan side. They are led by Paul Stirling and Andrew Balbirnie with Gareth Delany, George Dockrell, and Harry Tector providing strong support.

Ireland have impressed over recent years despite not being considered amongst the elite sides, playing some captivating cricket at times and now rank amongst one of the premier T20 sides in the world. They even boast an excellent record against Pakistan – winning both meetings they’ve faced off in T20 format!

Ireland batted first and posted an impressive total of 192/7 in their inaugural T20I. Though Mohammad Rizwan was lost early, Babar Azam and Saim Ayub’s patient batting kept the innings on track with Babar Azam hitting 38 off 36 deliveries before Iftikhar Ahmed cameoed towards the end to give a much-needed boost at death.

2nd Match of Ireland Cricket Team Vs Pakistan

Pakistan will aim to gain the upper hand when they face Ireland in the second T20I at Dublin on Sunday (May 12), after losing the opener of this three-match series against them. Babar Azam led Pakistan are eager to right that wrong after suffering defeat in match one against Ireland and are ready to fight back with an impressive effort against them in Dublin on May 12.

Ireland’s batsmen are making an excellent showing against Pakistan bowlers, with openers taking advantage of gaps to score runs quickly and consistently. Pace bowlers have also done well but could do with being more consistent.

Irish team has been given a boost with Paul Stirling back as captain, hoping that their momentum from their initial game can carry into future contests. Their NRR is good but winning more matches is crucial in order to qualify for Super 8 stage competition.

Pakistan will look to boost their performances to make an effective case for a top-four position. They currently possess a lower NRR than USA and must win both remaining games to have any chance at advancement; although they possess enough firepower they must work on improving fielding lapses; also struggle finding balance between their bowling and batting strategies (Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are currently leading) as they lead them back towards contention – more support may be needed from within their batting lineup if they hope for any comeback IRE vs PAK Live Score:

3rd Match of Ireland Cricket Team Vs Pakistan

Ireland and Pakistan National Cricket Teams will square off again for their three-match series on May 14, 2018, at Clontarf Cricket Club Ground in Dublin. Ireland hopes to gain some revenge after dropping their opening game and take an edge in this one. The match begins at 7:30 PM IST.

After an inauspicious start, Ireland found their footing and began to accelerate once Paul Stirling replaced Joshua Little as bowler Paul Stirling returned from injury. Although Ireland lost one wicket early on in their innings, they eventually reached their target without too much trouble.

Pakistan have struggled with their batting in this tournament and will need a huge win against Ireland if they want to raise their net run rate (NRR) and qualify for the finals. They suffered defeat against USA and India earlier in their competition which negatively impacted their NRR – they must win against Ireland by an overwhelming margin and hope other teams lose for them to reach the playoffs.

Babar Azam played on the back foot in his second innings but managed to strike a few powerful blows that advanced the score forward. Sadly, however, Amir denied him his century when he caught at long-on.

Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman attempted to stem Ireland’s innings, while Azam excelled with an outstanding 40-ball 78 that featured six sixes to keep Pakistan ahead in the run chase despite his best efforts. Azam will look to continue this form in future games but his teammates must assist him and not commit errors as they did in match 1.

4th Match of Ireland Cricket Team Vs Pakistan

Pakistan and Ireland have just kicked off the first T20I of their three-match T20 series at Clontarf Cricket Club Ground in Dublin. Both sides walked out for national anthems before tossing of coin took place, which resulted in Pakistan winning first ball.

Paul Stirling has seen his side start their summer well and they hope to extend that momentum against a Pakistan team which has long been their adversary in ICC events.

Pakistan have suffered some heavy defeats against both USA and India recently, which has severely dented their Net Run Rate. They will hope to use this match against Ireland as an opportunity to strengthen their chances of qualifying for the 2026 T20 World Cup tournament taking place in Australia and New Zealand.

Pakistan have got off to a flying start thanks to Abbas Afridi’s boundary. He attempted to hit it through covers but instead managed to hit it on the front foot for six. Irish defence is struggling to keep pace with Pakistan’s run rate now so any wicket here could prove invaluable.

Josh Little has come in to replace Curtis Campher as Irish batsmen become fatigued from Pakistan’s pacey bowlers, not receiving enough swing from each ball to stay ahead of the run rate. Babar Azam remains calm at bat while one or two big hits could see Ireland home here; Irish batting needs more creativity in their attack of this total total.

5th Match of Ireland Cricket Team Vs Pakistan

Ireland cricket team have produced an astonishing upset against Pakistan by winning five-wicket at Clontarf in Dublin during their series’ fifth and final Twenty20 International, giving Ireland its maiden T20 series win against Babar Azam’s side ahead of June 2’s T20 World Cup tournament. This loss comes at a crucial juncture as Babar Azam’s side prepare to launch their 2024 T20 World Cup campaign which starts June 2.

Pakistan had made an inauspicious start to their tour of Ireland and were desperate for victory in their last match against Ireland. Unfortunately, however, their poor display with both bat and ball saw them fail to post a competitive total against their hosts; only skipper Babar Azam and Saim Ayub managed to score half-centuries against Ireland bowlers; including pacers Craig Young and George Dockrell’s excellent performances as pacers.

Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have been shining for Pakistan in the T20 World Cup so far, but both were dismissed for low scores during their team’s loss to Ireland on Sunday – a result which dealt a severe blow to Green Shirts as it means they will miss out on qualifying for the Super 8 spot in the tournament.

On Wednesday, PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi met with Ireland’s Cricket Ireland chief Brian MacNeice to discuss an upcoming T20 series between both nations. Ireland will play three T20Is against Pakistan starting May 8 and this will mark their inaugural multi-match T20 series between them. A Test series has not been discussed; however, PCB did release a statement earlier in 2017 regarding an anticipated visit from Ireland’s men’s team for Test play in near future.
