Prithvi Shaw made a strong case for himself with his performance against CSK, scoring his maiden fifty. It appears likely that Prithvi will retain his spot in the batting lineup barring any injuries preventing this.

Delhi got off to an austere start as Abishek Porel and Karun Nair succumbed quickly, however Faf du Plessis and Axar Patel battled hard to remain in contention, as reflected in the Delhi Capitals Vs Kolkata Knight Riders Match Scorecard.

1. Delhi Capitals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will look to make it three wins out of four when they take on Delhi Capitals at Arun Jaitley Stadium for the 46th match of Indian Premier League 2025.

A win by RCB would put them back into second place while defeat would see DC slip back down into third.

Smriti Mandhana and Georgia Voll’s powerful 165-run partnership was the key to Royal Challengers Bangalore’s win against Delhi, with Mandhana scoring an unbeaten 87 off 67 balls while Voll’s 79 off 54 set up an impossible target for DC to chase down.

Delhi were off to an inauspicious start in their chase as Abishek Porel was bowled by Dushmantha Chameera within one over, followed by Karun Nair being bowled soon afterwards; thus leaving Delhi at 60/3 in their powerplay period.

Faf du Plessis then joined in, bravely playing through an error which resulted in her run out as they slowly made progress towards 200/4.

However, late flourishes from Jemima Rodrigues and Laura Wolvaardt propelled RCB over the finish line with six wickets remaining in hand.

For Delhi, Axar Patel proved his worth by bowling two crucial overs at 2/34 while Chinelle Henry also contributed significantly by picking up two vital wickets.

Shikha Pandey will be pivotal to DC’s victory as she attempts to keep pace with RCB’s power hitters, having recently shown her strength against Mumbai Indians when bowling well to restrict them to 164 runs.

Annabel Sutherland can also step up and take part in DC’s attack with her swing bowling ability proving essential as she will be supported by Abishek Porel, Axar Patel and Karun Nair – this encounter between top two sides in the table promises plenty of drama and spectacle!

2. Delhi Capitals vs Mumbai Indians

Indian Premier League 2025’s race to the top four has narrowed to five teams. Lucknow Super Giants became the latest team to exit, losing against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday and entering relegation.

Three other teams (Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings) have already qualified for playoffs; the fourth spot will be decided between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals when they face each other Wednesday in their game.

DC will look to find their feet after suffering three consecutive losses. Their batsmen have struggled all season, failing to score even one century across six innings this year.

Their middle order includes Abishek Porel, Karun Nair and Axar Patel who all possess strong form.

Delhi Capitals will have to rely on their young players, led by captain Rohit Sharma and including Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah and Mitchell Santner to keep things together in this critical matchup against Mumbai Indians.

Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai will host this matchup and there is the potential of rain affecting play, but should it go ahead, both teams may opt to chase; four out of six wins at this venue this season were won by teams who chased.

Both DC and MI have played two games each this week, so the winner of this match could have a major bearing on who qualifies for playoffs. MI is likely to finish the league stage with a much superior net run rate than DC, making them favorites to qualify.

Last time these teams met at this venue, the game concluded in an exciting high-scoring thriller won by DC by three wickets.

Andre Russell provided plenty of drama during the closing stages as he hit an enormous 106-metre six off Starc before eventually being caught by Chameera at long-on for an innings-best 73 not out.

3. Delhi Capitals vs Chennai Super Kings

Delhi Capitals emerged victorious against Chennai Super Kings at home on Thursday in an important battle of two of the top teams, winning by 25 runs to take control of first position on the points table and move up one position on their predecessors CSK who fell 25 runs short of an 184 target at Chepauk and experienced their first loss this season.

Sunil Narine led KKR with both bat and ball on Tuesday, scoring 27 runs while taking three wickets to help his team make an excellent start to their innings. Be on the lookout for him going forward – he could become an important asset!

CSK have found themselves struggling to bat this year, especially their top order which has repeatedly failed to produce results and put immense pressure on MS Dhoni to deliver results.

On Sunday, CSK middle-order never appeared likely to break out of their shell and compensate for Ambati Rayudu’s absence; team tries to balance experience and youth through Vijay Shankar, Shivam Dube and Ruturaj Gaikwad but have failed to form cohesive units as expected.

CSK are favourites to claim victory here and will look to extend their perfect record at home with another victory on Saturday at MA Chidambaram Stadium. Dhoni will look to lead his side into victory once more by six wickets.

CSK have assembled a strong squad featuring both spinners and fast bowlers suitable for the conditions at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Saturday 17 May starting at 3.00 pm IST; Hotstar and Jio TV app live streams will also be available allowing fans to follow this encounter live! Stay tuned for updates as more come!

4. Delhi Capitals vs Rajasthan Royals

Last time the two teams played at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi Capitals defeated Rajasthan Royals by 20 runs. Both sides have much at stake this time around as winning will see an unprecedented jump up the points table; furthermore, short boundaries make Arun Jaitley Stadium an excellent venue for high-scoring matches.

Sunil Narine of Kolkata Knight Riders was an impressive performer during that game, excelling both with bat and ball. He will surely play an instrumental role for their visitors; The Royals have had an uneven start to their season so far and need to gain some momentum quickly.

DC have proven their strength at home this season by winning six out of their nine home matches – but away from home they have struggled, losing three matches consecutively.

Batting has been strong so far for this team, with Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer each hitting half-centuries this season.

Additionally, spinners Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana and Jofra Archer have provided valuable contributions.

Royals Rooney have not had an ideal start to their campaign but still remain in contention for a playoff berth. They are currently eighth on the points table with four wins and six losses; to stay competitive they need to build some momentum quickly or risk falling back into form.

The toss will take place at 7:00 PM IST and the match will commence at 7:30 PM IST. It will be broadcast live on Star Sports Network as well as streamed live through JioHotstar; follow live updates below from this matchup!
